Nothing beats a Bonnie View Inn wedding, a lakeside ceremony & a sunset to leave you wanting more. During the spring of 2019, I had the honour of photographing Jenna & Jon’s wedding at the Bonnie View Inn. It is the loveliest family-run resort in Haliburton. There aren’t too many wedding venues that give guests the opportunity to lay on the dock, play volleyball and take a dip in the freezing lake all while the bride and groom spend their morning preparing for the celebration in their cozy little cabins. I always love the laid back vibe at this venue. It just makes everyone ones experience that more memorable.
There were quite a few jokes made throughout the day saying that this wedding celebration was a long time coming. It seemed like everyone knew they were a match made in heaven. Jenna & Jon were highschool sweethearts and waited 11 long years before finally tying the knot. Jon loves to garden & cherishes games nights with their close friends. Jenna is a creative free-spirit & a professor at York. During their speeches, Jon’s father mentioned that he had a memory of Jenna riding her bike down their street in the pouring rain & she had the biggest smile across her face.
Some of my favourite moments were Jenna & Jon’s first look overlooking the lake & the sunset portraits we were able to get when we stuck out of the reception as the sun was hanging low in the sky.

If you loved this lakeside wedding you’ll love this cottage wedding.
